A Day of Self-care & Self-love on the Luxe Gather Spa Bus
Luxe Gather Partners with ABC Girls and United Way to Deliver a Spectacular Spa Day
At Luxe Gather we’re known for helping parents across South Florida deliver memorable birthday party experiences their kids will never forget through our unique spa party bus for kids, slumber party rentals, and arts and crafts activities. But when we got a call from Mrs. McCraney, community liaison at Nova Middle School about a youth empowerment and self-care day we had to stop and listen.
Mrs. McCraney works as a community change agent to uplift and encourage girls from underserved communities through her organization Aspiring, Beautiful, and Confident Girls (ABC).
ABC’s enrichment program takes 6th to 8th graders through a 6 to 12-week program where they learn key skills including conflict resolution, confidence, and of course self-care.
A part of the program includes exposing the kids to fun activities and field trips where the girls get to do something out of the ordinary to uplift and inspire them.
Empowerment Spa Day
When Mrs. McCraney shared her vision for an empowerment spa day we were more than happy to jump in to help out in any way we could. So we got to work planning the perfect customized spa day for 26, 6th to 8th-grade students at Nova Middle School.
Since this was a school event we worked with Mrs. McCraney and her sponsors, United Way of Broward County to craft the perfect self-care day for the girls with the goal of empowering and uplifting them to know they are beautiful, and confident and the importance of self-care.
We also incorporated a fun STEM activity where the kids learnt the science behind lip gloss and made their own lip gloss with our customized Luxe Gather lip gloss-making kit.
Spectacular Spa Day
The girls were pampered and treated to facials, non-alcoholic sparkling champagne toasts, and manicures. They also learnt the importance of self-care and how to incorporate self-care into their daily lives. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Luxe Gather Spa Party without our signature karaoke and dancing jam session.
All in all, everyone had a blast, with many surprise guests making an appearance on the spa bus including the school principal, Rayner Garranchan, affectionately known as Mr. G by his students, school resource officers, and Georry Luberice of United Way of Broward County.
When we started Luxe Gather our vision was to be the number one provider of kids’ entertainment and interactive experiences, but as we work towards that goal, we also enjoy giving back to our community and supporting local initiatives.
